About Me

Among the gnarled trees on the outskirts of a growing Midwest village there resides a rather peculiar scribe. With quill pen in hand and black cat at her side, Makayla Love weaves tales that tread the line between dream and darkness.

Makayla, a neurodivergent author, lives with her long-suffering husband and their two cats Salem and Wednesday alongside precarious stacks of books and friendly specters in a pastel cottage among ancient oaks. Makayla met her husband, Daniel, when the two were in high school and have been together ever since. For the last several years Makayla has been working tirelessly on her education.

Through correspondence courses by raven-posts, Makayla received her Master’s degree in creative writing from Southern New Hampshire University, and is seeking a second degree in Literature, also from Southern New Hampshire University.

When not serving as a medium between the real and the fictional, Makayla enjoys crocheting (badly), drinking tea, and playing Dungeons and Dragons with her friends.
