☂️Rainy Mornings💧

Hello Folk of the Hollow!

It was dark when I woke up this morning, and outside the windows of the cottage I could hear the low rumbling of thunder in the distance ☂️.

It wasn’t much of a rainstorm—we had one a couple of Fridays ago that was an absolute monster! It rained in sheets so thick we couldn’t see two inches in front of our noses, and it began to hail!—but it was nice after the long, horrid heat we have been having here!

Even though when I opened the window to let in some of that fresh rain air I realized it was still too hot and humid (I had to close the window, much to Wednesday’s chagrin 💧 there’s nothing she loves more than an open window!) I’m glad to see we’re finally having good, consistent rain. It means the weather is at last beginning to cool down, and autumn is on its way!

Summer is by far not my favorite time of the year. I’m very sensitive to the heat, and it triggers my anxiety far more often than any other season. That is partially why my posting on here gets a little dodgy in the summer months!

I haven’t decided what I want to do yet with the rest of my day—I think I’ll probably play some more Dark Cloud 1 like I did last night! It’s a really fun, vintage game that brings back memories of my childhood sitting on my living room floor playing my PlayStation 2 surrounded by blankets and snacks. That sounds like a really relaxing way to spend this slow little Saturday!
