🌷📖 It’s Finally Warm! 🌷📖 A Reading and Gaming Day

Hi there, Folk of the Hollow!

It’s finally warm! Normally I’m not a fan of the heat, but it’s the kind of warmth that isn’t too hot, but warm enough that I can open the windows and feel the fresh air after a couple of months of it being too cold (though thanks to climate change, that’s about it in terms of being cold, and it wasn’t even really all that cold).

Wild, though, that just a two weeks ago we had a blizzard and now I get to walk around in shorts and a t-shirt.

I was actually bored for a good chunk of the day—I played Baldur’s Gate 3 for a while, and while that was kinda fun for a while, I think I’ve played it too much too close together and needed to break it up with something else.

After I decided that Baldur’s Gate 3 wasn’t hitting like I’d hoped it would, I decided that wearing jammies also wasn’t where it was at—so I got all cute and dressed up in an outfit that made me feel unexpectedly confident. I hadn’t expected a simple white t-shirt and a pair of blue denim shorts (and, of course, a cutie patootie white bow) to feel so fairytale and cottage-y, but it did!

Chip sat next to me, filled with white Christmas tea, as I read Between Two Fires on my kindle. I’ve still got a ways to go in the book but I’m really enjoying it, even though it can be kinda slow. I made a pretty good dent in it—I got about 40 pages read before my tea cooled and I decided I wanted to go downstairs and play my switch instead.

After starting and discarding a bunch of games (don’t you hate it when you can’t find something that feels right?) I started a new playthrough of Legend of Mana, and that fit. I had a ton of fun, and I was reminded how much I love this game! The aesthetics are so on point and the characters are so fun and quirky!

Is it warm yet where you live? I gotta say, when this liar spring inevitably gives way to another cold front that brings in another blizzard (idk when it’ll happen, but I just feel like it will!) I’m going to be caught off guard like I am every year lol.

Until next time!
