🎀My Whimsical Weekend Morning Routine🎀
I try to romanticize my mornings on the weekends as much as possible to make up for it. I’m more able to just take my time and wake up when I’m good and ready, so a lot of my romanticizing happens on the weekends. I try to start my mornings slow and easy, and I try not to pick up my phone first thing. I’ve found that if I pick up my phone and scroll too early in the day, I’m more tired and in more of a sour mood from then on. I start worrying about just . . . well . . . everything. The world has a chance to creep in, and I stop feeling like the main character in a fairytale almost immediately.
In the spirit of that, here are the whimsical ways I try to romanticize my morning to maximize the feeling of living and breathing in my own little fairytale ~ 💗
☂️Rainy Mornings💧
It was dark when I woke up this morning, and outside the windows of the cottage I could hear the low rumbling of thunder in the distance ☂️.
🦄 Unicorn Frappuccino ~ A Whimsical Drink Review! 🦄
Hello Folk of the Hollow!
Does anyone else remember the Unicorn Frappuccino drink from Starbucks way back in . . . I want to say 2017? Back then I remembered hearing about it—mostly mixed reviews, some people saying they loved it and others saying they absolutely hated it—and I’ll be the first to stand up and admit that I jumped on the hype train a little bit. I wanted to know what was so special about it that everyone was talking about it so much. Besides, what’s more fun than a drink named after a unicorn?

Sew with Me ✂👖 // A Cozy Evening Sewing My First Pair of Shorts
Hello Folk of the Hollow!
So around this time last summer I made the decision that I wanted to learn to sew my own clothes. I had this romanticized idea of living in my little cottage in the woods, hunched over my sewing machine, and cobbling together an outfit that was one hundred percent unique to me. I have always loved the idea of being able to customize every little thing in my life (which is probably why I love playing the Sims lol) and ever since I was a kid I wanted to learn how to do that very thing with my wardrobe.
Well, that ended up not happening last year after all.

🌷📖 It’s Finally Warm! 🌷📖 A Reading and Gaming Day
Hi there, Folk of the Hollow!
It’s finally warm! Normally I’m not a fan of the heat, but it’s the kind of warmth that isn’t too hot, but warm enough that I can open the windows and feel the fresh air after a couple of months of it being too cold (though thanks to climate change, that’s about it in terms of being cold, and it wasn’t even really all that cold).
A Surprise Sick Day
Happy Saturday, Folk of the Hollow!
I had big plans for the day—I was going to sit down at my desk and write some more in Project Flowers. I made myself a coffee, did a little reading, and opened all the windows in the library.

Pumpkin Carving Day! 🎃
So, dearest Folk of the Hollow, we had a bit of a . . . well . . . a set back with our plans a couple weekends back.
We were supposed to go to a pumpkin patch and an apple orchard—we had everything planned out. I spray-painted my wicker basket so it was nice and cute for the apple pickin’, I spent all morning trying to pick out an outfit (and, by the way, the whole morning was bright and sunny) and do my make-up, only to realize that as the time drew closer to the time for the farm to open the skies had grown darker and it began to rain.
Meaning, there would be no apple picking or pumpkin patch for us.
📚🕷 Decorating The Cottage Library for Halloween! 📚🕷
Hello Folk of the Hollow!
Today I wanted to share with you guys how I decorated my cottage library! Now, we decided to be a little frugal this year when it comes to buying Halloween decorations—we’re saving up for a big home renovation project that, frankly, absolutely takes priority—so this is probably the most we will decorate this year. But that’s okay! You don’t need to buy a ton of decorations and be the biggest house on the block to still have a fun Halloween!
🎃 Cozy Summerween Reading Day 👻
Hello there, Folk of the Hollow!
It’s been a minute since my last post, hasn’t it? I’m sorry to say that as the summer heat has rolled in over the cottage, my energy levels have dropped significantly. I always forget in the springtime, when we are fresh out of winter and all the possibilities of the outdoors is once again open to us and the weather is a cool and inviting 70 degrees, but I am simply not built for warm climates. Most people feel the seasons negatively affect their moods in the winter—but I, dear Hollowfolk, feel those pains in the summer.
